Instead of heading to Cancun or spending the week at the beach, the Iseli family changed things up and traveled to the Williamsburg, Virginia area for a vacation filled with history, family adventures, and plenty of unexpected moments along the way.

Wes and Natalie talk about staying in a house on the river, exploring Yorktown and Jamestown, hearing Revolutionary War cannons fire, the kids taking part in the Junior Ranger program, Lex chanting “Independence! Independence!”, and discovering which historical stops they loved…and which ones Wes would be perfectly happy never visiting again. 😂

They also share some of the funny behind-the-scenes moments that come with traveling as a family of five and what it was like trading their normal beach vacation for something completely different.

It may not have been the vacation they originally imagined, but it gave the family plenty of memories—and plenty to talk about!
