Wes and Natalie conducted their third podcast interviewwith Dustin, focusing on Dustin's career as a professional blackjack cheat in Las Vegas during the 1980s. Dustin shared how he moved to Vegas with just a couple thousand dollars, studied under legendary card men including Mr. CC (described as the best blackjack cheat in the world), and worked as both a dealer and agent in sophisticated cheating operations. They discussed Dustin's two main cheating moves - the "flash" technique for gaining betting efficiency and a "stacking the deck" method that guaranteed blackjack wins about four times per 45-minute dealing session. Dustin explained the elaborate timing and psychology involved in avoiding casino surveillance, including using misdirection and coordinating with multiple team members. He described the significant differences between old-school Vegas casinos of the 1980s and modern Las Vegas, noting how much smaller and more manageable the city was back then.
