  • Remembering What God Did For Us (Audio)

As we conclude our Be Strong series we are challenged with a powerful call to commitment from Joshua 24. It’s a moment of decision—a time to declare boldly whom we will serve.

Joshua challenged God’s people to choose that day, and we’re invited to do the same. Come ready for a meaningful time of reflection and renewed devotion as we seek to live out our life mission with a “Joshua kind of faith”.

    Discussion Questions:

    1. In verses 1–13, Joshua walks the people back through God’s faithfulness across generations. As you look at that list, what stands out to you about who God is and how He has acted for His people? How does remembering God’s past work prepare them (and us) for renewed commitment?
    2. In verse 14, Joshua tells Israel to “fear the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and in faithfulness.” Based on the text, what does that kind of service look like? What specific actions does Joshua connect to wholehearted devotion?
    3. Joshua tells the people in verse 23 to “put away the foreign gods” that were still in their lives. Jon reminded us that we often hold on to our own idols even while following the Lord. What are the things in your life that, if God asked you to release them, you’d struggle the most to surrender? Where have you seen those things function as idols - shaping your decisions, your emotions, or your sense of security?
    4. Joshua tells the people to choose whom they will serve, but he’s also honest that they can’t be faithful in their own strength (v. 19). That tension points us forward to Jesus—the One who perfectly kept God’s covenant, cleanses us from our idols, and enables us to serve God wholeheartedly as we look toward our true Promised Land, the place of eternal rest (Heb. 4). How does fixing your eyes on Christ reshape the way you hear and respond to Joshua’s challenge today?

    6. In His Time... (Audio)

In this week's message, we'll look at one of the most recognizable accounts in the whole Bible. However, just because it's familiar doesn't mean we still can't learn from it this week. As we look at the life of Joshua, you'll be encouraged to see how God showed up for him and the nation of Israel.

      Discussion Questions:

      1. When Joshua encounters the commander of the Lord’s army (5:13–15), what do you notice about how Joshua approaches him and how the commander responds? What does this moment reveal about who truly leads God’s people into battle and what kind of posture God calls Joshua - and us- to have before Him?
      2. In chapter 6, as Pastor Tyson discussed, God gives Joshua an unusual battle plan. What do you notice about the instructions God gives and Joshua’s obedience to them? What does this teach us about trusting God even when His ways don’t make sense?
      3. The walls of Jericho fell only after Israel obeyed God’s command in full. What does that moment reveal about the relationship between faith and obedience?
      4. Rahab’s story (6:22-25) is a powerful contrast in this passage. What do we learn about God’s mercy and faithfulness through Rahab’s rescue and her scarlet cord?
      5. The fall of Jericho shows both God’s judgment on sin and His mercy toward those who trust Him. How does this scene point us forward to the cross- where God’s judgment and mercy meet fully in Jesus- and how should that shape the way we live on mission with courage and compassion?

      7. Walking by Faith (Audio)

God calls us to live with a “Joshua kind of faith”—bold, confident, and ready to step into the life mission He’s prepared for us. Here is the start of this powerful series as we learn how to be equipped, strengthened, and ready to move forward in faith!

        Discussion Questions:

        • In verses 1–5, what do you notice about how God reassures Joshua after Moses’ death? What does this teach us about God’s faithfulness to continue His work?
        • God repeats the command “be strong and courageous” several times in this passage (vv. 6, 7, 9). What situations is Joshua facing that make that command so necessary? What do we learn from this about the kind of courage God calls His people to?
        • Verses 7–8 emphasize obeying God’s Word as central to Joshua’s success. What stands out to you about the relationship between strength, courage, and obedience here? How does meditation on God’s Word strengthen faith and courage?
        • In verse 9, God promises His presence wherever Joshua goes. How does that truth shape the way we face uncertainty or new challenges in our own lives today?
        • God promises Joshua, “I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” How does that promise find its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always”? How does that shape the way we follow Him today?

        • Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus (Audio)

This week we fix our eyes on Jesus, running the race He's called us to with hope! Remembering that we have encouragement from those who've gone before us, we can let the baggage go that's holding us back and persevere until we reach the end of our race!

          Discussion Questions:

          1. In verse 1, what two things does the writer tell believers to “lay aside”? How do those two (i.e. every weight and the sin that clings closely) function differently in slowing us down in the race of faith?

          2. Verse 2 says Jesus is the “pioneer and perfecter of faith.” What actions of Jesus in this verse show what that means? (Look closely at the verbs).  What do those teach us about what endurance actually looks like?

          3. In verse 3, we’re told to “consider Him.” Based on everything in verses 1–3, what specific things about Jesus’ endurance are we meant to remember, and how does that strengthen weary believers?

          4. In what ways do you sense you've grown weary or are growing weary in life today?

          5. Was there a particular vantage point that the Lord used to encourage you?

          6. Grow Strong in Your Faith (Audio)

Faith moves. It believes, acts, and endures...

This week, we look at Hebrews 11:20–40, a powerful collection of stories showing what faith in motion really looks like. And as we’re inspired by their example, we hope it encourage you to step out in courageous faith and take God’s love beyond our walls.

            Discussion Questions:

            1. According to verses 23–26, what specific choices did Moses and his parents make because of their faith? How did their actions show trust in God more than fear of people?

            2. In verses 27–29, what motivated Moses to persevere and lead God’s people out of Egypt, even when facing opposition and the unknown?

            3. Verses 32–38 list several examples of believers who suffered or even died for their faith. What do these examples reveal about the cost and endurance of faith?

            4. Verse 39 says all these were “commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised.” What does that teach us about the forward-looking nature of faith and even how it ties back to verse 1 of chapter 11?

            5. What part of the message this week encouraged or stretched your faith?

              37 min
            6. Faith in the Midst of a Trial (Audio)

What do you do when God asks you to trust Him with everything?

This week in our Courageous Faith series, we’ll look at Hebrews 11:17–19 where Abraham’s faith was put to the ultimate test—and how his story points us to the cross and God’s unshakable goodness. We hope you are reminded that even when faith is tested, God is faithful.

              Discussion Questions

              1. According to verses 17–18, what did Abraham believe about God’s promise when he was told to offer Isaac?” What does this moment reveal about the kind of trust God calls us to—especially when obedience doesn’t seem to make sense?
              2. Verse 19 says Abraham reasoned/considered that God could even raise the dead. What does that show us about his view of God’s power and faithfulness? How can that strengthen our confidence when we face hard or uncertain moments?
              3. In verses 20–22, how did Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph express their faith in God’s future plans? Can you draw out any sort of reflections from their lives of faith that help us as we look toward the future?
              4. What stood out or challenged you from the message this week?
              5. How do you see Jesus as more beautiful and wonderful from this last week's text/sermon?

              7. Faith like Abraham (Audio)

This week in our Courageous Faith series, we’ll explore how Abraham and Sarah trusted God’s promises even when they couldn’t see the outcome. Their story calls us to live in light of God’s goodness, greatness, and calling—with eyes fixed on His future for us.

                Discussion Questions:

                1. Abraham obeyed when God called him to go, even though he had no idea where he was headed. What does that show us about the kind of faith God calls us to? How does his story challenge our tendency to wait until everything makes sense before we take a step?
                2. It says Abraham was “looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.” What do you think that means? How does that shift the way we think about where our true home and security really are?
                3. The passage says they “died in faith, not having received the things promised.” What do we learn from that about waiting on God? How do we hold on to hope when we don’t yet see what He’s promised come to pass?
                4. Can you think back to a moment in your faith journey when you had to take a leap of faith—where you trusted God even though the outcome wasn’t clear? What did you learn about Him through that?
                5. What part of Jon’s message struck you this week—something that challenged, stretched, or encouraged you?
                6. 39 min
                7. Faith like Noah (Audio)

When the world pushed against him, Noah stood firm. His story shows us what it looks like to have faith that endures—even under social pressure.

                  Discussion Questions:

                  1. Noah built the ark “in holy fear” when warned about coming judgment. What does that reveal about the kind of faith he had?
                  2. Noah’s obedience stood out in a world where no one else was listening to God. What do we learn from his example about trusting God even when it sets us apart?
                  3. Noah’s story doesn’t just show courage — it also points forward to Jesus as the true and better ark (1 Peter 3:18-22), the place where we find shelter and safety from God's judgment. How does seeing Noah in light of Jesus grow our affection for God?
                  4. Will your faith hold up under social pressure? Where do you feel that tension most in your life right now?
                  5. From Noah’s example, what marks a faith that is strong? (He heard God’s warning, trusted God’s word, and followed God's calling even when it didn’t make sense.) Which of those do you need God’s help with most right now?
                  6. 45 min
                  7. What is Faith & Why it Matters (Audio)

What does it really mean to live with courageous faith?

This week we explore Hebrews 11:1–6 and Genesis 1–5 to see faith defined and powerfully illustrated. We discover what it means to live in light of God’s goodness, greatness, and calling—trusting Him with bold confidence in every part of life.
