No one believes a liar! Pastor Dan takes us into the Book of Proverbs to continue his teaching entitled, "Why You Should Not Lie." Lying destroys trust, but lying is tolerated in today's society. We learn that lying is also dangerous and we will judge others with the lies that we believe. Lying strengthens our defects, and deception destroys intimacy between you and God!

Pastor teaches us that truth is like body armor, but lying desensitizes us.

We can do something great if we could just FOCUS! Focusing, however, is a hard thing for us to do since we live in a world of distractions. BUT! What would happen if we gave God our full attention? He takes us into the Word of God to show us that praying is important; our spiritual lives depend on it. We learn that we should have prayer goals, and that prayer is a life, not a luxury or an option! Relationship is important in prayer and we must be dependant on God!

Pastor Dan Turpin has been teaching about prayer and what it is. Over the past couple of weeks we've seen that prayer is a choice, and that prayer is a privilege. The foundational scripture that Pastor Dan has been using is II Chronicles 7:14 and today we hone in to the phrase "shall humble themselves" as we learn that prayer is an attitude. We have to have humility before God.

Blessed are those that are not capable of coping with the issues of life apart from God. We must purge ourselves from the desire to sit upon the throne of our own hearts. Prayer is surrender - surrender to the will of God and our cooperation with that will.
