West Coast Yanks (Yankees Podcast)

The Yankees tried their very best to lose this series against the Rays but by the grace of God, salvage a split in the series. The offense and baserunning still look mediocre, while the pitching is keeping us afloat. The Yankees face Boston for the first time this year, so we'll see where the Yankees are after the 3 game set.

It's time for the Yankees to call up Chris Gittens and Estevan Florial. The Yankees get swept in Detroit for the first time in 21 years. This episode is a rant about everything I hate about the Yankees and how they are completely ruining the confidence of our young guys. Something's got to change, cause this pitching isn't going to stay this dominant over 162. The pitching has kept this team above water but if they don't start hitting soon it's going to get real ugly.

West Coast Yanks brings Jacob Klamer on as the first guest of the podcast. Jacob is a former co worker who happens to be a huge Yankees fan as well. On this episode we change up from the usual format and have a dialogue on how the Yankees are going to tackle their injury issues, the dominance of the pitching staff, and what prospects might get the call to the show. We also go down the rabbit hole on Yankees history so make sure to tune in!

If you enjoyed this type of episode, leave a 5 star rating so we can make this a recurring segment!

The Yankees complete the sweep of the best team in the AL with walk off wins in the first and last games of the series. The starters continue to throw shutout innings. Move over, MLB. The Yankees are here.

The Yankees take 3 out of 4 from Texas, and end their 10 game road trip with a 7-3 record. Ask any manager in the league and he'll sign up for that in blood. Kluber tosses a no-no, a near perfect game, on game 3 against the Rangers. Tune in to hear the recap!

The Yankees pitching has been brilliant, while the offense has been putrid at times. The Yankees have shown us different personalities throughout the first 1/4 of the year. Today, I gloss over the individual stats of the players so far, and discuss what I would do to make the MLB more interesting. With how much the pitchers are dominating, something has to change. I don't agree with moving the mound back, as the pitchers have been training their whole life to throw from 60 ft 6 inches. Tune in and find out what Luigi has to say.

After dropping game 1 of the series, the Yankees snatch the last 2 games in walk off fashion! Including stealing a win in game 2 after Scherzer's masterful outing. The Yankees hope to take this momentum into the Trop, where they will face the rival Rays in a 3 game set.

The Yankees complete the sweep of the Detroit Tigers. Yankees pitching made Detroit look like a AAA team. They also showed an ability to score without the home run ball which was a good sign. This was the perfect warm up series before facing the Astros, Nationals, and Rays.
