James says we are not judged based on how we judge others, but on how we extend mercy to others.

An old saying teaches, "The proof is in the pudding." James believes that, "The faith is in the doing." For James, faith is not something we just believe in; it is something we live out.

Each of us has songs that truly move us, physically as well as spiritually. The writer of Ephesians encourages us to be filled with the Spirit as we sing psalms and hymns, in essence saying it is our calling to sing the song.

If we are going to spread the gospel of peace, we must be prepared for conflict. This is the paradox we live in as followers of Jesus. The weapons of the spirit are not designed to take life but to give life. To put on the armor of God is to take on the image of Christ, the Prince of Peace.
