How do we learn those practices (virtues: self-control, endurance godliness, mutual affection, love) that keep us from harming others and in turn harming the reputation of God?

So nothing that goes into a person defiles them but but what comes out of them. How do we learn to keep what comes out of us from defiling others as well as ourselves?

How do we learn to love ourselves as children of God so that we can return God's love and love others? We can begin by choosing to do no harm to ourselves, others, or God's work in the world.

What are you looking at as we live our lives? Are we looking to the empty sky for the Jesus of long ago, or are we looking for the signs of the ways that the risen Christ, who is present with us at all times, is pointing to what God is doing in the world?

Led by the example of Jesus and surrounded by a cloud of witnesses, we are called to share our witness. We are not without guidance, and we are not alone as we point to what God is doing in the world. That is good news!
