While Stephen is being stoned to death he calls out for God to receive his spirit and to forgive the people who were stoning him. I wonder where he could have learned to do that?

God's spirit has been poured out on us in such a generous portion. Now what are we going to do with it?

We are a people who are sent by Jesus to abide in his love and bear fruit in his name as the spirit of God works through us. Is that our a-sent-sion?

Jesus tells his followers not just to love but to abide (live fully and constantly) in his love. Imagine what a different place the world would be if all the followers lived fully and constantly in Jesus love and reflected that love for others.

Jesus doesn't tell his disciples to add church members or increase giving, but to "bear much fruit." This is the way, he says, that we become his disciples. What would it look like for us to bear much fruit today?
