On this episode of West Franklin Talks, Matt and Dave share about all the things happening at our church for Christmas AND we dig further into this past Sunday's sermon. They'll talk about how to find the things that are breaking your heart, distinguishing between being uncomfortable and being called, and how to handle our passion for a certain ministry. 

After a brief hiatus, Matt and Dave are back to talk all things The Church at West Franklin and this past Sunday's sermon. There's too much in today's episode to highlight so let's get right to it!

Matt is out of town and there wasn't an opportunity to record an episode before he boarded the plane. So we thought we'd share one of Matt's favorite episodes and talk about rest, naps, and more. While Dave still doesn't take naps, he encourages you to take one if needed. We'll be out next week as well so look for a new episode of West Franklin Talks on November 3rd. 

What's breaking your heart in the world today? That's the question Matt and Dave explore today. They'll talk about the 3 questions Matt posed in this past Sunday's sermon, explore the tension of the questions "Can You? Will You?" and share some ways to discover what is burdening your heart. Along with the sermon conversation, they share about several upcoming dates/ministry opportunities happening at The Church at West Franklin. 

We wrap up the Master Class series by looking back at this past Sunday's sermon on James 1. Matt and Dave will talk the fine line of reading the Bible because its a practice that draws you closer to God vs legalism, they'll explore if you should walk away with a life changing truth every time you read the Bible, and more. They'll also share details about upcoming happenings at The Church at West Franklin. 

Schedule changes give West Franklin Talks the opportunity to pull out an interview done during our 2022 VBS week. Chris Blanton, the Associate Executive Pastor for the South Region, joins Matt and Dave to share more about his role with Brentwood Baptist, some insight into the overall direction of our church, and some areas he is excited about regarding The Church at West Franklin. While there are VBS references, the heart of the conversation is good and we are excited to share our conversation with Chris with you!
