This week we pick up where we left off from last week looking at the call to rend our hearts in the context of a sacred assembly. We will discuss how a sacred assembly provokes reflection, repentance, and awakening.

In the next section of Joel's prophecy, he calls the people back to the basics by communicating to them that the Day of the Lord will not be a blessing for all believers, the wrath of God will be avoided by those who rend and return, and those who rend and return can experience awakening.

Joel is an intervention type of prophetic book. Today we will look at how God calling us to cry out and not run out of time is His means of intervening and what it looks like for us to move from hearing to listening.

Today we start a new sermon series in the book of Joel. In this prophetic book Joel beckons the people of God to get back to the basics of faith and we will look at the how, why, and when of back to the basics.

In the final message in this series we pay special attention to Storge or family love. As we examine a passage on the depravity of the final days we will explore how each love should be lived out today.

Today we study a passage in John 15 where Jesus describes his relationship with his disciples and we look at the friendship quotient in each of the other types of loves.

Today we discuss the marriage relationship through a passage in the Song of Songs. Throughout the passage we will see how each type of love contributes to the marriage relationship, with special attention to Eros (erotic) love.

This week we begin a new series on the four Greek words for love. Today we define all of the loves, but see how Agape is the supernatural form of love that we are called to bring into all the others.

In this week's message we discuss the types of baptism and learn that baptism initiates a progressive burial of the sin-nature, association with Jesus, and freedom to obey.

Today we have a guest speaker with us to share about the Holy Spirit's work and how it is about prayer and building up the body.
