Pastor John wraps up our summer series on Lessons from the book of Jonah with a message entitled Principles God Blesses.

"Then Jesus said to them again, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door ... If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved...' " John 10:7,9 (NKJV)

God asks us to join in His wonderful work.  But, just as with Jonah, sometimes we say no.

Before God wants to do something great through you ... he wants to do something great in you.

The response was ... wow!

Jesus was focused on His surrounding communities.  Let's do the same as next week we will meet at Virginia Hills.  

Trusting God completely will challenge you.  Our tendency is to think we can figure things out on our own.

"... but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me."  Phil 3:12 (NKJV)

"Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others."  Philippians 2:3-4 (NKJV)

There will many things that just don't make sense... but we don't see what God sees.
