God's gift to His children includes salvation and provision (food, shelter) but also more.

While the term "Messiah" (Hebrew HaMashiach or המשיח) literally means "the annointed one", He has not just come for the Jewish people. "I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles," (Isaiah 42:6b NKJV)
