As Jesus continues His teaching on the hillside He has now moved into a section where He is comparing His interpretation of the Law to that of His rabbinic peers. Their focus has been on strict observance concerning the actual acts associated with the Law. But the act is not Jesus’ concern. Jesus knows that before the act is ever committed there is a decision in the heart. What condition is you heart in?
