Following Jesus isn't always easy. There are going to be times when life gets difficult, when we grow weary, and when everything around us seems to be shaking. So how do we keep going?
In Hebrews 12, we are reminded that following Jesus means continuing to run the race, allowing God to shape us through life's difficulties, and helping one another keep going. Most importantly, we remember that through Jesus we have received a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Our circumstances may change, but our hope remains secure in Him.
As we continue our journey through Hebrews in our series, Fix Your Eyes on Jesus, we are reminded that Jesus is worth following. No matter what you are facing today … keep trusting, keep going, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus.

What does it mean to live by faith when we cannot see how things are going to turn out? In Hebrews 11, we discover that faith is more than believing in God … it is trusting Him enough to follow Him, even when we cannot see what comes next.
As we continue our Fix Your Eyes on Jesus series, we look at the examples of faith found in Hebrews 11. From Moses choosing what mattered most to those who experienced extraordinary victories and those who endured terrible suffering, we are reminded that faith does not guarantee the outcome we want. Instead, faith calls us to trust God's promises, obey His Word, and persevere when life becomes difficult.
Jesus is better. His sacrifice is enough, He has opened the way for us to come to God, and His promises are worth trusting. Whether we are experiencing a victory or walking through a struggle, we can keep following Him.

Following Jesus means discovering that we have a better way to God. In Hebrews 8–9, we see that Jesus has brought us into a better covenant, provides the cleansing we cannot accomplish ourselves, and offered the sacrifice that never needs to be repeated.
We all know what it feels like to wish we could undo a mistake or make the guilt of our past disappear. We may try to work harder, do better, or punish ourselves for what we have done. Yet, we cannot cleanse our own conscience or make ourselves worthy before God. Jesus has done for us what we could never do for ourselves.
When guilt and shame make us question whether we are truly forgiven, we need to fix our eyes on Jesus. His sacrifice is sufficient. His work is complete. Jesus is our enough.
Join us as we continue our Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus series and discover why following Jesus means we have a better way to God.

Following Jesus isn’t always easy. When life becomes difficult, it can be tempting to go backward—to return to what feels familiar, comfortable, and easier to understand. In Hebrews 7, the author reminds us that we have a better reason to keep following Jesus: Jesus is better.
Jesus is our eternal High Priest. Unlike the priests under the old covenant, Jesus lives forever, was appointed by God’s oath, and always lives to intercede for us. Because of Jesus, we can draw near to God even when we feel unworthy, and when we fail or feel like giving up, we can keep coming back to Him.
In this message from Hebrews 7, we are reminded that Jesus has opened the way to God, Jesus is still there, and Jesus gives us a better hope.
Keep your eyes on Jesus.
Following Jesus means I have to keep growing. In Hebrews 5:11–6:20, the writer challenges Christians who have followed Jesus long enough that they should be growing toward maturity. The elementary teachings of our faith are not something we leave behind … they are the foundation we continue building upon.
In this message, we look at the danger of spiritual stagnation, the importance of continuing to build on the foundation of faith, and the serious warning against turning away from Jesus. Yet the message doesn't end with a warning. Hebrews reminds us that we can keep going because our hope is anchored in God's promise.
Abraham waited for God's promise without seeing the full picture. In the same way, we may not understand everything God is doing or see how every circumstance will work out … but we can keep following Jesus because God keeps His promises.
Fix your eyes on Jesus … keep growing … keep building … keep persevering … and remember that your hope is anchored in Him.

What does it mean to follow Jesus when we feel unworthy, weak, or overwhelmed by the struggles of life? In Hebrews 4:14–5:10, we are introduced to Jesus as our Great High Priest — the One who has opened the way into God’s presence, understands our weakness, was chosen by God, and remained obedient through suffering.
Because of who Jesus is, I can draw near to God. I don’t have to hide my weakness from Him. I can trust the One God has chosen. And when following Jesus becomes difficult, I can keep following because Jesus has already walked the road of suffering and obedience.

What does it mean to enter God’s rest? In Hebrews 3:16–4:13, the writer reminds us that God’s promise of rest still stands—but hearing His Word is not the same as responding to it with faith.
The Israelites experienced God’s power and provision, yet they failed to trust Him when the journey became difficult. Their example challenges us to examine our own hearts, rest in the finished work of Jesus, and continue following Him until the end.
In this message, we explore the spiritual rest God provides through Christ, the difference between the old covenant and the new covenant, the call to persevere in faith, and the way God’s Word examines what is happening inside us.
The promise still stands. The door is still open. Today is still “Today.”

What happens when following Jesus becomes difficult?
In Hebrews 3, the writer reminds us that Jesus is greater than Moses and warns us not to allow difficulty, distraction, or unbelief to pull us away from Him. When following Jesus becomes difficult, we can lose our focus, harden our hearts, or try to run the race alone.
Instead, Hebrews calls us to fix our thoughts on Jesus, guard our hearts against unbelief, encourage one another, and keep moving toward what God has promised.
The Christian life isn't just about starting the race … it's about remaining faithful to Jesus to the very end.

Fix Your Eyes on Jesus | Jesus Is Worth Following
Hebrews 1–2
What do we do when following Jesus becomes difficult? What happens when suffering, distractions, or uncertainty cause us to take our eyes off of Him?
As we begin our twelve-week journey through the book of Hebrews, we are reminded that Jesus is worth following. Hebrews was written to Jewish Christians who were facing persecution and were tempted to abandon their faith in Jesus and return to what was familiar. The Hebrews author points them back to Jesus—showing them that He is God's ultimate revelation, greater than the angels, and the One who became like us to rescue us.
We may not see everything. We may not understand everything. We may not know how everything will work out.
But we do see Jesus.
Join us as we begin our series Fix Your Eyes on Jesus and discover why, even when following Jesus becomes difficult, Jesus is worth following.
