This week we take a pause on "Upper Room" sermon series and welcome a special guest Alex Clark to share his story. We look at Simon Peter through Luke's gospel to see that God can always do more. Alex also shares his story about his family and their son Judah, and how God uses life's interruptions as His interactions!

This week on the Rest of the Sermon we talk about the wise, the foolish, and the evil as well as some big things that are coming up this month as we "Fall" into October!

This week in our sermon series "The Upper Room" we see that disciples are honest about sin because of our hope in our savior, Jesus Christ! In the scripture we see that although Judas was close in proximity to Jesus, that does not mean that he was intimate with him. We can define sin as complete and total self-absorption at the cost of everything else, including God, but the beautiful thing is: There is more grace, love, and mercy in Jesus Christ than there is sin in us!

As we dive into the text of John 13 we find that Humble Service is the mark of EVERY Disciple. In this episode, we find that through scripture we are never too busy to serve and although it is hard, Jesus even served Judas! We as Christians also cannot humbly serve until we have been humbled BY service and that our salvation is our motivation to serve. Lastly, Jesus tells us that there is blessing in serving and carrying out God's word!

CALLING ALL DISCIPLES! Join us today as we begin our new sermon series "The Upper Room"! In this series we will go through the book of John 13-17. Today we look through Luke's gospel to see who was in the room and who wasn't in the room and we see that Jesus would rather make an impact on a few disciples than take on the masses and have influence.

As we close our mini series we see that Jesus asks us "What Do You Want?" As Christians, we often think that it's just about our Words and Works, but the test of a mature disciple is our Wants. In this episode we see that our deepest desires of Belonging, Security, and Significance are taken care of by God's love and provision.
