Today we catch up with Tim Guy as he flys out of Australia to meet up with his UCI Continental Team Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum ahead of a 3 day tour in Japan. Tim talk about fellow NSW / ACT rider Ben Hill and his inspirational story to return to the race after a terrible fall in China.

UCI European Continental Team Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum has an Aussie Connection..

NSW cyclist Tim Guy of Orange (who lives in Albury & is a former Bathurst Cycling Club Member) has ensured his place in the new Slovenian continental team Ljubljana Gusto Xaurum by becoming one of the sponsors.

Guy switched hats from a Bike Rider in the team to an Australia Company (Head Crack) Co-owner to become involve in the initial negotiations for the formation of the UCI Registered continental team.

In July 1883 at the Exchange Hotel in Sydney, the Sydney Bicycle Club called a meeting to consider the forming of the NSW Cyclist Union. Prominent Sydney BC long distance cyclist Mr J Copland (a former Surry Bicycle Club member) was Chairman and large group of over 100 cycling enthusiasts who elected Mr James Martin President and Mr H. McRae as Honorary Secretary to draft a constitution to be considered at the next meeting when officially the NSWCU was formed.
