On October 1 we "honored" our bosses (Westgate Pastors) by staging a race at Westgate Raceway (228th lower parking lot). The vehicle was a highly-modified Tesla-class racecar (electric golf cart), capable of speeds of well over 12 MPH. Karin surprised our pastors with a trip to the racecourse in a stylish stretch limo (church van). There they suited up (helmet and goggles) and white-knuckled it around the intricate course. The race was followed by lunch and awarding of trophies in a local bistro (The Commons). A fun time was had by all! Thank you to Patti for organizing this event and to all the "track workers" who policed the course.
