The People of the Circumcision were offended by Peter because they held on too tight to the Old Covenant. When we mix covenants, Christianity becomes needlessly unattractive.

The reason we dread being with "difficult people" is because we see them with lenses that were tinted by our past experiences. We must reframe our views of these people so we see them as God sees them.
