One of the tough realities of life is dealing with fear. Fear has the ability to halt us in our tracks! Because pressure causes panic, panic leads to procrastination, and procrastination can paralyze us. So how can we live under the increasing fear? Let’s talk about it…

Today we want to continue in faith on the course God has set before us! In part one of this study I made some bold statement about how the Church has become spiritually weakened by being online only. Here's a real statement from a 4-yr old little boy in this church.

“Daddy we don’t go to church anymore!”

Barna Group research (https://www.barna.com/research/new-sunday-morning-part-2/) posted an article this week showing a survey (response) among practicing Christians which revealed 1/3rd had not attended any kind of service during the past month! (No online / No in-person) Capture what this reflects: During a time when crisis is high & uncertainty looms followers of Jesus have chosen to do it their way by relying on self & not staying close to the savior!

As we survey the history of the Bible we see God’s people in the Exodus from Egypt wrestling with the idea of safety as they went forward. In (Numbers 13 & 14) there’s a battle within the Nation (Israel)! There were those who wrestled with the circumstances of danger and those who trusted God above the present reality (Num. 13:28). Yet, it was fear from the majority (Num. 13:31-33) that caused the division within their ranks. Now, today (July 5th 2020) the Church is in a similar moment...

"The Practical Side of Faith"

Today our study takes us beyond theory & ideas of walking with God and into HOW a believer lives as a Christian. This portion of James is all about results... hurting people who found hope and healing in Jesus RESULTING in genuine faith! And James is teaching us that genuine faith is visible.
