BIG IDEA: Salvation comes through hearing the proclamation of the God we know.

*8 truths we proclaim about the God we know:

1. He’s the God who made everything. (v.24)
2. He’s the God who transcends everything. (v.24b)
3. He’s the God who gives everything. (v.25)
4. He’s the God who planned everything. (v.26-27a)
5. He’s the God who is near everyone. (v.27b-29)
6. He’s the God who commands everyone. (v.30)
7. He’s the God who judges everyone (v.31a)
8. He’s the God who appointed a man to judge who lived and died and rose again. (v.31b)

BIG IDEA: The coming of Jesus means the coming of judgment.

Four questions about the Day of Judgment:

• Who will be seated as the judge?
• Who will be summoned to be judged?
• What will be the standards by which we’re judged?
• What will be the sentencing of those who are judged?

2. Be faithful in preparing your heart for Christ’s coming. (25:1-13)
   1. You prepare your heart by trusting Christ for your salvation.
   2. You prepare your heart by taking Christ into your sleep.
