In the ongoing frontal attack on Jesus, He is asked this time what the greatest of all commands is. In His answer Jesus affirms what we need to give ourselves to first and how else flows from it.

In this sermon we will come across a group of religious leaders called Sadducees. We'll look at the reasons they rejected the God they claimed to worship and the power they missed out on because of it. We'll see that the same dynamics exist today and that Jesus made a way for us to experience more life and more power than we could ever imagine.

As we near the end of Matthew and as the cross looms, the tension between Jesus and the religious establishment has reached a heightened state. In this message, we come to the end of Jesus' fourth of five discourses recorded by Matthew. As Jesus wraps up things before entering Jerusalem for the last time He reminds and recounts how greatness is viewed and evaluated by God and what is to be true of those who are a part of His kingdom. It's a lesson that's those then and we today struggle to understand and live out.

In this sermon we will see Jesus' disciples response to His conversation with the rich, young ruler and the ways in which we are confronted by God's grace. Why is it that we have such a tough time accepting grace? And how can we move from a works-based life to the life of grace?

There is no more important question than, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?" In this passage, we look at the question through the eyes of someone who had everything this world can offer but was still lacking what he - and we - needed most.

This text addresses the topic of marriage and divorce but in reality, it addresses something much more significant than even that. That being, hearts that are hard towards God and His call to go above and beyond, empowered by Him to do so.
