Samson: God's Strong Man

While bad decisions can't stop God's overall plan, we have to lie with the consequences. In chapter 16, the Holy Spirit departs Samson because he failed to keep his promise. Even still, Samson belonged to God.

What happens when we sing, when we don't do God's will? God uses everything to work out his plan, for us, for others, for everyone, even the wrong decisions we make.

God calls his people Holy -- we are set apart for His purposes, for every part every day, for his glory and honour.

Pentecost undid the separation of the first exile, banishment from the garden, the confusing of languages at Babel and the separation of the nations. In the Holy Spirit we find true fellowship: with God and with people!

For any group to function and thrive, leadership is established, and expectations given.

All the people gathered to hear God's Word. Convicted of their sin, they confessed, received forgiveness, and rejoiced!

Those opposed to Nehemiah tried to stop him again, but Nehemiah stood firm. The work was done, the exiles returned.

God loves us. Love comes from God, all we need to do is receive it. Then others will know about God's love, as they see it in us!

The Jewish people were treating each other poorly, those who had power and authority abused it selfishly, forcing others into slavery.

Using scripture, Jesus taught them what they needed to know about Him. As we go along the way, we share Jesus with everyone we meet.
