There's a powerful picture of love in this story, as Jacob will do anything to marry Rachel. His love actually produces a change in him. In the same way, God's love for us, changes us! True love also costs, and we see how much Jacob truly pays for his love for Rachel. In the end, true love perseveres. The biggest thing we need to remember is that we do reap what we sow.
