It may surprise you that the book of Revelation begins with a series of letters from Jesus, to seven churches in Asia Minor (modern day Turkey). Jesus’ words of encouragement and warning, in these letters, are not only directed at those seven churches. These written words of Christ are also meant to cause us to take an honest look at the condition of our own church, and ultimately, our own hearts as well.
