You absolutely have to hear this week's theme song, and Jay-Tray's take on the Scorpions classic, "The Zoo"...it's so wild and wonderful that we haven't been able to get it out of our head since we got it! And you got that right - Candace and Jay-Tray are talking about Scorpions tonight...and what a story it is! You know we can only skim part of it in two hours, so we're talking about the beginnings, wishing that we could hear those beat inspired beginnings, but taking the time to experience one of their first recordings from way back in 1972, "I'm Going Mad" before we talk controversial album covers, and how crazy we are about 1980's "Animal Magnetism". We listen to "The Zoo", of course, and "Only a Man", before skipping through a few memorable places in the catalog - 1984's "I'm Leaving You" and how it rings our "Beat It" bells, and the tribute to the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky video that they dropped in 1999 called "To Be No. 1". Candace remembers their drummer from that period, James Kottak, from watching the "Ex-Wives of Rock" reality show, so we watch a couple of scenes from his appearances before we come back around to the song that they dropped in April 2020, "Sign of Hope". It should almost go without saying that we have to end things with a little UFO after touching on the Schenker brothers story, we had to beg pretty please for a little "Doctor Doctor" to take us out. It's a lot of fun this week, get into it!

We've got a lot of things going down on us these days, what about you? It's time for a little sun shinin', love rainin' down with Jackyl! We got ourselves a bottle of that Jesse James bourbon and we're exploring the catalog! We feel the heat of love's flame as we listen to "Down on Me", we have to stop by and see "The Lumberjack" video, we watch Tom Green get (some might say) unreasonably angry about Jesse's chainsaw antics. We stop and listen to Jackyl's song with AC/DC's Brian Johnson, "Locked & Loaded", then we check out a track from Jesse's solo album, "Foot Fetish", called "I Don't Share Your Pain", we listen to a song from Jackyl's 2016 release "ROWYCO", "Disasterpiece". We try to end things on the new Guns n Roses track, "Absurd", but end up listening to their live performance of "November Rain" where they mash the song up a little bit with Biz Markie's "Just a Friend". It's a whiskey sour, rock n roll good time!

We're on our wayyyyyyy! We have been so excited to talk Cinderella since before the first episode of the show was shot - we just knew we had to wait until we could do it right! Candace loves Cinderella, and has a lot to say about her recent fandom. We stop by "Pat's Dogs" of course, we go to the 1987 Live in Japan concert to watch Jeff LaBar's magical solo, we get into "Long Cold Winter" through "Coming Home", "Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams", and "Fire and Ice", and then we check out Tom Keifer's solo work; a live performance of "Nobody's Fool" from just before the pandemic, and the music video for "The Death of Me" from the 2019 release, "Rise". As usual, things take a sharp turn at the end, and we end up on Pantera's "Cemetery Gates". Come on press playyyyyyyy....

Truer words were never spoken - you DO gotta let go if you really wanna rock. Tonight, tomorrow, anytime! This week we are fully admiring Lita Ford. We are rocked by her, we are in awe of her, we are inspired by her, we are in love with her. Join us and guest host filmmaker Andrew Shearer of Gonzorrific, who happens to have a Lita-signed ukelele that he is showing us, as we go back to "Dancin' on the Edge" enjoying the iconic "Gotta Let Go" video, we watch her shred the house down in "Hit and Run", we stop by "Close Your Eyes Forever" for old times sake, and watch her roll around in the water in the "Hungry" video. We even fit in "School Days" from her days in The Runaways, and pay tribute to Dusty Hill with a little "Cheap Sunglasses". Let go and get in here if you REALLY wanna rock today!

Vinnie's gone this week, and that means YIKES - Candace is singing again! This time she's joined by a former guest host, Jay Tray, and we are here to get it while it's hot! It's hot in the real world, it's July, we're in Georgia, it's hot here, so we are getting it. We check out Jay Tray's new album cover reviewer TikTok career, spend a lot of time with "Blow My Fuse", dip into Kix's 2014 album "Rock Your Face Off" to listen to "Dirty Girls", and then of course we check out the brand spanking new release by Kix frontman Steve Whiteman, hot off the digital presses on 7/2/21, from his new solo album "You're Welcome", Candace picked the track "Bad Blood" to introduce us to! All of this to prepare to see them live in North Carolina the day after taping! All of this had us "Sweating Bullets", so we ended things with Megadeth. Next week, we swear we're giving you that Lita Ford episode we've been promising!

On Saturday, July 17, we saw Enuff Z'Nuff and Faster Pussycat live at 37 Main Avondale in Georgia, and we are here to share the experience with you! We recount our night, basically worship Chip Z'Nuff, get rawdogged from every angle with so much sleaze rock that we're still sore and itchy days later! Check out the footage, and spoiler alert - we're listening to the new single that Iron Maiden just dropped on us, too!

This week we are giving Enuff Z'Nuff a closer listen, as we're going to see them live with Faster Pussycat 7/17! We knew we were going to love it, we had no idea we were going to come away obsessed! Join us as we take a trip through their career, from the hits "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle" at the beginning, stopping to see what they were up to in the middle by giving 1999's "Top of the Hill" a spin before seeing where they all went from there - we listen to Donnie Vie's 2019 "Beautiful Things", and we literally find our new favorite album when we listen to "Strangers in My Head" from Enuff Z'Nuff's 2020 album "Brainwashed Generation". It's hot girl summer AND it was American Independence Day weekend AND it’s Tuesday now which means it’s time for a new episode of Wet Tee Shirt Podcast! Is there a band of our favorite era that is more American than Damn Yankees? Is there a band that sings about come-come-coming more? I guess you’ll have to sit through us making up for lost time on those margaritas and find out! This is the wildest ride yet, really all over the place...we pay our last respects to a couple of rockers lost in the last week including Skid Row’s Johnny Solinger, we go through the rock history of the supergroup that is Damn Yankees including listening to some Night Ranger, some Styx, and...some of The Amboy Dukes?? We sneak in some Def Leppard, and they’re definitely not American, but we make it up to you by finishing you off with Kiss.
