Wake Up Sydney brings you the latest weather, traffic and train updates for Tuesday, 7 July 2026, with Johnny Rocket guiding Sydney through a cool and showery winter morning.
Across the city, it’s a chilly start with showers on the radar. The Sydney CBD is around 10.7°C, heading for a top of 18°C, while Parramatta begins at 10.6°C with a top of 17°C. Over at Bondi, it’s 12.3°C and heading for 17°C, with coastal showers expected. Jackets and umbrellas are definitely recommended.
On the roads, commuters should allow extra time around Ermington, where a two-car crash at Stewart Street and Marsden Road has closed one westbound lane on Stewart Street, with southbound Marsden Road also closed. There are also delays on the M4 westbound at South Wentworthville after a multi-vehicle crash just past Cumberland Highway, with heavy traffic and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h.
There’s better news for public transport users, with Sydney Trains and Metro running normally across all lines and no incidents reported for the second day in a row.
It’s a wet and wintry Tuesday across Sydney, with road delays to keep an eye on but a smooth run on the rail network.
