On July 4th, President Trump signed into law the comprehensive budget plan, known as the 'One Big, Beautiful Bill.' The President announced that there's hardly a livelihood that this bill would not benefit. Over the weekend, the House Ways and Means Committee held a hearing at the Reagan Library in California to listen to those who praised the bill. However, since President Trump signed it, Democrats have kept up their opposition to the budget plan. Ways and Means Chairman Rep. Gregory Swan lost his son, Drew, to a fentanyl overdose in 2013. Since then, he has co-founded Fentanyl Fathers and devoted his life to raising awareness about the lethal drug.
