The 1940s were a simpler time (particularly if you ignored the war that was going on). It was a time when a man could be a man, when you could chain-smoke in hospitals, and when wounded RAF pilots were allowed (nay, encouraged!) to send wildly horny letters to their aunts. All in all, Robert Pattinson's first leading role is definitely one that he is incredibly proud of and fondly thinks about all the time.
