The U.S. pulls its bombers from a British air base amid fears of an Iranian-linked terrorist threat, raising new questions about whether America’s European allies can adequately protect U.S. military assets.

Victor Davis Hanson and Jack Fowler on today’s edition of “Victor Davis Hanson: In His Own Words” examine growing security and immigration concerns across Europe, arguing that mass migration and failures of assimilation are creating mounting cultural and political instability.

They connect these concerns to Canada under Mark Carney, questioning the country’s relationship with the United States, while Hanson warns that Western nations risk importing the very political and social problems many immigrants sought to escape.

They also examine the approaching 2026 midterms, and Brazil’s political shift, as they move further to the right.

This episode also talks about Americans’ rapidly declining confidence in higher education, arguing that soaring tuition, DEI instruction, and mounting student debt are forcing students to debate on whether their degrees are still worth the cost.

Arab states that once kept Israel at arm’s length are now reportedly gathering behind closed doors to ask for its help. Meira K traces the secret relationship between Israel and the UAE from decades of quiet cooperation to the Abraham Accords and today’s increasingly open security partnership, driven largely by their shared concerns about Iran. She then examines reports of Netanyahu’s extraordinary six-hour meeting in Abu Dhabi, where officials from across the region may have gathered to discuss Iran, the Houthis and Israeli air-defense assistance. Three years after October 7, the episode argues that one of the war’s most unexpected consequences may now be emerging: Arab countries that once viewed Israel as the problem increasingly see it as the country they need on their side.

Cooke of National Review to discuss the issues that matter most to voters in the 2026 midterms, why gas prices are so crucial, the issues with Ken Paxton in Texas, how the media and left are lying about Trump’s comment on Iran and Los Angeles, the truth about what he said and meant, how Gavin Newsom and others are trying to capitalize on this lie, Ted Cruz and JD Vance are taking shots at each other, whether this is a preview of the 2028 GOP primary, why Jon Ossoff might be the Democratic nominee in 2028, Kamala Harris' latest embarrassing moments and why she's unlikely to be the nominee, the notable racial make-up of the “Cornell 7," the numerous decisions Jane Doe acknowledges she made consciously, how one of the accused in the fraternity case implied it was Jane Doe who actually r*ped him, Sunny Hostin revealing actress Cynthia Erivo told her to “lead with empathy” instead of reality in the “Cornell 7” case, the insight this provides into the mind of a progressive, and more. Then James Woods, filmmaker and musician, "The Killer's Wife," joins to discuss the shocking new revelations in the “Cornell 7” story, how college and young people have changed for the worse, the need to be teaching our kids properly, the cultural and political moments in America that have led to the creation of his new album, whether he's optimistic or pessimistic about our society, and more.
