Taken from Phil 2:12-14, and Paul's instruction to "work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
The great news is the next verse: "For it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to do, for His good pleasure."

Part 2 of our look at Psalm 19, and the stated fact:
"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handywork."
The Bible is explicitly clear regarding who the Creator is. We must look behind the mask at those who contradict, and plant seeds of doubt.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims the work of His hands."
Preached at Island Community Church on Feb. 9th.
Taken from Phil 2:6-11
"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, (6) who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, (7) but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. (8) And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross."
ALSO, we take to heart Paul's teaching, "Let each of us esteem others as better than ourselves." (vs. 3)

Psa 18:1-2 I will love You, O LORD, my strength. (2) The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Preached at Island Community Church on Feb. 2nd.
We continue our teaching series through Philippians.
Today we run smack dab into this statement by the Apostle Paul: "To you it has been granted (as a gift) not only to believe, but to suffer for His sake."
Certainly a forgotten gift here in the United States.

Today we look at what, or who, the Bible calls a fool.
Also, we look at the two types of atheists in the world. Join us for the Gospelstudy podcast!
Psa 14:1-3 "The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. (2) The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. (3) They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one."
In today's devotion in Psalm 13, David asks the question, "How long, O LORD? Will You forget me forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? How long shall I take counsel in my soul, Having sorrow in my heart daily? How long will my enemy be exalted over me?" (13:1-2)
Can you relate? Are you waiting on God for something, and it seems like God is not listening to you? Join us today for the Gospelstudy podcast, as we address this question.
Preached at Island Community Church on Jan. 26th.
Taken from a variety of places, including James 5:17--Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months."
In this teaching, we look at biblical drought--Past, present, and future.
