In this excellent episode we are honoured to have Professor Swaminathan of Mechanical Engineering at Cambridge University as well as the usual hosts who are Tom Vernon, Daniel Cheng, Christian Masiye, Charlie Plein and Alex Broome. We kick off the podcast showing the professor what we know about combustion from A-Level Chemistry and Physics and from there he kindly gives us in depths explanations of greener fuels especially MILD combustion. This really interested us as we were enlightened on how this technology could change the world of electricity/power generation. During the end of the podcast, the Professor went through his story of how he managed to become a professor at a world renowned university while also giving advice to students our age.

In this interesting episode we move into the more theory side of STEM with the usual hosts of Tom Vernon, Daniel Cheng, Charlie Plein, Christian Masiye, Seb Howles and Alex Broome's first podcast. We start off explaining why the Newtonian Laws of gravity (which is what you learn in school) is not always right and in fact wrong most of the time for very large masses which is where Einstein's theories of relativity come in and works for all applications until recently where their could be evidence in dark matter that may prove it wrong.

Moving on from gravity we talk about artificial gravity in the second half of the podcast, namely spin gravity and 1g rocket gravity which are amazing concepts and have been used before in space and on Earth before! The most interesting part is that you would be feeling gravity in the midst of space without a planet's mass underneath your feet.

Throughout this episode we talk things from what CRISPR is doing and will do to things such as gene editing babies to fulfil a particular need. We also debate on the ethical issues of gene edited medicine and the recent gene editing of two twin babies.

We discuss the uses of AI as well as the positives and negatives of it. This ranges from current uses such as in self-driving vehicles to even your phone. The We also explore how AI can be used to create an AI of yourself essentially giving your the ability to keep your presence around forever, and how AI may or is going so far that it may realise it can be independent from humanity and render the human race as useless and possibly destroying the human race.

In the future episodes we plan to invite Mrs Richardson to discuss gene editing and CRISPR's work.

In this episode Daniel Cheng, Seb Howles, Sohpia Nwachukwu, Fiona Trimby, Lucy Hart, Tom Vernon and Mrs Kerr features on this podcast as a very special guest. We talk about the different uses of the stats and modelling from more relevant pandemic we are in to things like predicting stocks and shares. As well as uses we also discuss ethically to what extent is stats and modelling not controlling our lives which gets very interesting as dive deeper into algorithms used to target ads or content to a certain person.
