From July of this year- Michelle Ferrari, talks about the American Experience documentary "Sandra Day O'Conner: The First," which looks at the life and legacy of the first woman to serve as a justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. During her long tenure on the court (1981-2006) the Court dealt with a number of highly consequential and divisive cases- and often Justice O'Connor was the deciding vote. Ferrari was co-producer, director and writer for the film. Justice O'Connor passed away on December 1st at the age of 93. Her funeral is later today. From 2019 - Professor Charles T. Clotfelter talks about his book "Big-Time Sports in American Universities," which examines the place of high profile athletic teams at our major universities. Although Professor Clotfelter raises concerns, he comes to this as a sports fan and his approach to the topic is nuanced and thoughtful.

From 2007- a memorable conversation about Handel's MESSIAH with choral legend Weston Noble- who was conductor-in-residence at Carthage College that year and participated in in the 2007 Sing Along Messiah performance. Also in this conversation is Trevor Parker, who was the tenor soloist that year. This year's Messiah Sing Along is Sunday evening, Dec. 17th, 6 pm, at First United Methodist Church in Kenosha.

I speak with Craig Gall, music director of the Kenosha Pops Concert Band, about their Christmas concert on Saturday evening, December 16th, in Carthage's Siebert Chapel. This is the 20th anniversary of the group's first Christmas concert.

Dr. Rana Limbo is co-founder and director emerita of a program called Resolve Through Sharing, which has trained tens of thousands of health care professionals over the past 40+ years to work with patients who have experienced the heartbreak of stillbirth, miscarriage or the death of a child. The program was created at a time when such losses were not openly or effectively addressed. The program is part of the Gundersen Health System.
