From 2016- Camille Perri discusses her novel "The Assistants," which follows the exploits of five different people trying to be a part of the world of Hollywood as assistants to celebrities. Perri herself was, for a time, the personal assistant to Rosanne Barr.

We speak with best-selling author Tom Clavin about his latest book: "The Last Outlaws: The Desperate Final Days of the Dalton Gang." Clavin has written several fascinating books about the Old West (including "Tombstone," "Dodge City," and "Wild Bill.") This one focuses on the waning days of the Old West and an infamous gang that was, in a sense, trying to hold on to an era that was about to vanish.

Nan Calvert's November guest on the program is Shannon David Foust from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh talking about a class of hers called "Connecting with Nature" that she is offering to the general public.

Author and investigative journalist Max Mitchell talks about his book "Among the Bros: A Fraternity Crime Story." He chronicles was unfolded on the campus of the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC with a particular fraternity that engaged in widespread drug-trafficking among other misdeeds. He also talks about the insular presence of fraternities on many college and university campuses.

Part two: from the archives- Dr. Randi Berg, in a conversation from November 2020 on what it was like to be a doctor for three small nursing homes in the midst of such a pandemic.

For Veteran's Day: (2017) Andrew Carroll talks about his book "My Fellow Soldiers: General John Pershing and the Americans who helped win the Great War."

From earlier this year: Richard Hurowitz, author of "In the Garden of the Righteous: The heroes who risked their lives to save Jews during the Holocaust." It was from the introduction to the book that I first learned about the young people who comprised The White Rose- whose story is the basis of my latest chamber opera, COURAGEOUS ROSE, which is performed for the first time tonight at Carthage College.

Max. S. Bennett, who has worked extensively in the field of A.I. (Artificial Intelligence), discusses his new book "A Brief History of Intelligence: Evolutions, A.I., and the Five Breakthroughs." Bennett contends that by better understanding how our own intelligence evolved and developed, we can in turn more wisely utilize and refine Artificial Intelligence.
