We preview the Racine Theater Guild's production of THE LITTLE MERMAID, which opens tonight (Dec. 9) and runs for two weekends.  We also talk with George Baumgardt, co-founder and director of the Spirit of Racine Music Makers,  a group of vocalists and instrumentalists who are performing a Christmas concert on Sunday afternoon, December 11th, at 2:30 at The Convenant.

In honor of what would have been Weston Noble's 100th birthday this past Wednesday (Nov. 30th),  here is an interview I was privileged to record with my beloved mentor back in the spring of 2008.  (A short excerpt from this was replayed on the 30th.)  

Yeva Skalietska, author of 'You Don't Know what War Is: The Diary of a Young Girl from Ukraine."  Russia attacked Ukraine just days after Yeva celebrated her twelfth birthday. This book is based on a journal she began writing in the early weeks of the conflict.   Also:  Pulitzer Prize winner Alice Parker (2007) discusses her children's book "War is never a good idea" - and Crispin Glover talks about his series for young readers titled "Zeus the Mighty."
