Nan Calvert pays her monthly visit to the program. With her is Matthew Collins, Director of Parks for the Kenosha County Division of Parks.  The primary focus of the conversation is the work being done in Petrifying Springs.  

We speak with writer Matthew Paul Turner about his career as a Christian writer- and his most recent picture book for children, "What is God Like?", in which he completed the work begun by best-selling author Rachel Held Evans before her untimely death at the age of 37.  We also talk about Turner's experience of coming out as a gay man last summer.

Craig Gall talks about the return of the Kenosha Pops Concert Band to the Pennoyer Park Bandshell after a year's hiatus because of the COVID-19 Pandemic.  The band begins its 2021 summer season on Wednesday evening, June 16th, at 7:00.  

Former New York Times reporter Robert M. Smith, author of 'Suppressed: Confessions of a former New York Times Correspondent."  The book is a memoir of Smith's long career in journalism.  It includes some outspoken criticism of how the New York Times covered former president Donald Trump.  Smith's professional life included a stint in the administration of former president Jimmy Carter. 

From 1999-  This is my very first interview with one of my favorite frequent guests-  Dr. Laura Gellott, longtime Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.   The occasion of this interview was Professor Gellott receiving the Stella Gray Teaching Excellence Award.
