This week on What a Trip!, we’re leaning into hope — yes, even now. We talk about the small, weird, human things keeping us afloat in heavy times: from waking up before your alarm to healing our UTI's. Our backseat drivers chime in with their favorite things that give them hope and we are obsessed. This week we time-traveled back to 2016 and unfortunately brought our personalities with us. We dressed like our former selves and unpacked what we were really up to back then — from Christian girl phases to frat party behavior, identity crises, and questionable fashion choices.

While we like to keep things light here on the open road, our hearts are heavy.

We want to be clear about where we stand: we believe in justice and dignity for our neighbors - especially those who have been mistreated, harmed, or lost their lives at the hands of ICE. We are heartbroken for families and communities living with fear and grief.

We’ve called our representatives, signed up for volunteer opportunities in our community, and are continuing to learn how to show up in real, tangible ways. We encourage everyone to take care of themselves and to look out for their neighbors however they can.

We’ll be releasing our pre-recorded episode as usual. Our hope is that it can offer a little levity and maybe 45 minutes of escape.
