Rob Mifka is a former American Military, and a former Corrections Officer at Lackawanna County Prison, and now he can add Podcast Host to that resume.

He has a new Podcast "THE PRISON EXPERIENCE",  where he interviews former inmates, Corrections Officers, Law Enforcement to give a nuanced,  behind the scenes look at the prison industry and firsthand experiences of those who work within, or are in prisons.

The Scranton Knights just took home the big WIN at  this past Lynett Tournament.  They were gracious enough to come on and talk about teamwork, friendship, and family.

The Big Break began as a competition for Colorado bands for a prize of winning a fully-produced music video from producer Eyal Filkovsky. 

The contest was created by Denver's Trevor O'Connor  of Trevor Rocks Denver, and Eyal Filkovsky. The Big Break is now located in Pennsylvania to give a local band a chance to win BIG.

With the Scranton School District still on strike, we decided to sit down and have a chat with Breeda Cronin Holmes, Mother, Tax Payer, Teacher as well as vocal advocate.

It was such an interesting chat to hear from the side of the citizen taxpayer. We talk about spirituality, growing up the child of immigrant parents, and all things Scranton School District.

It takes a lot of intestinal fortitude to run for any office, but Scranton's Ty Holmes has it in spades.

In a very difficult period of time for the residents of Scranton in regards to the Scranton School District, Ty Holmes had a higher calling to run for School director. He is a veteran of two branches of the United States Military and brings with him a common sense, pragmatic approach to working together to right the past of the district for the teachers, but most importantly, the students.

Make Scranton School District Great Again!

There has been a lot of Back and Forth between Congressional Candidate Teddy Daniels and Scranton Times-Tribune Columnist Chris Kelly over the years. 

Hosted at Pane’s Garage on Larch St. in Scranton, we had the incredible opportunity to sit down with these 2 proud Americans with vastly differing opinions. Everything remained relatively pleasant and both of them actually shook hands afterwards. 

We hope that you enjoy their talk and gain some insight on how they think, but most importantly, how they were both willing to come together and talk it out.  Teddy and Chris should be be commended for their willingness to sit and have a civilized conversation about important issues.

This week we have Tom Borthwick as our guest. Tom has been an educator and advocate for over a decade. He is an accomplished teacher, author, and former school board member at the Scranton School District. He is currently running for the Scranton School Board, among a field of other great candidates.  

Tom doesn’t pull any punches and actually has solutions to go along with criticisms.  We talk in depth about the systematic failures throughout the years, current WTF problems, and his shared compromises to bring the School District back to it’s once great place to work and learn.
