O’Henry’s Publick House Is a British Style Pub/Restaurant that brings the old-fashioned charm of classic British comfort foods paired with a premium selection of wines, spirits and seasonal craft beers along with traditional favorites. They opened in January of 2020, 6 weeks before the pandemic hit. They are located at 10 Minthorne St., Staten Island, NY 10301. It was a project that was in the works for several years. O'Henry's is the only British pub on Staten Island. They wanted to do something completely different. Bobby lived in England and Lisa’s grandmother was from England, so it made sense to choose this theme and incorporate what they know and pay tribute to their roots. They took their time to do it right. There bar has a story, if it could talk the stories it could tell. They have also teamed up with other restaurants and have donated a portion of their sales to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation for the 9/11 fund. At the holidays They collect toys for Toys for Tots. Giving back and helping others is extremely important. O'Henry's come from very humble beginnings and even though they have been struggling throughout this pandemic it is still very important to help others that may not have a support system or have fallen on tougher times.
DISHES: Fish and Chips, Wings with the different sauces on the side,
Portobello burger without the egg; and Lemon Cake.
O'Henry's Publik House is currently working on more vegetarian vegan options and expanding there menu. The portobello burger is made on the left side of the grill where they don't cook meat. If someone is Vegan O'Henry's tries to be accommodating by changing the bun or cooking on a separate part of the grill. The same with Celiac. The grill is free from any bread so that food is safe.
