Hey all – after a soft poll last week that confirmed both the importance of weekly info in these emails and the paucity of close reading they receive, I’ve decided to put the urgent info at the top.
READ THIS – We are gathering at Pantages this week. I’ll tell you about next week when we get there, but for now I’ll give you a hint. Next week, because it is Fringe, we won’t be at Pantages.
Talky Bit – we will be starting an exploration of fear. It’s become something of a defining emotion for our times, and that merits some consideration. Another reason for this examination is that there is some history of Christian belief suggesting that if we have faith, we shouldn’t have fear. It’s sort of in the same ballpark as suggesting that if we have faith, we shouldn’t have doubt. Both of those ideas strike me as unsupportable, but I know not everyone sees it that way. So…time to go exploring!
I’ll see you on Sunday…at Pantages (for the folks that read this right to the end, a bonus reminder).
Peace,
Tim Plett
