This week we have the pleasure of having a special guest, Stephon Montgomery. He's a loyal listener and joins us to discuss his perspective as a Black man in our society. We have great conversation and he drops some great knowledge on us and our listeners. We also provide you with another tool, on Performative Allyship. Are you guilty? (secret we all have been guilty of some of this). Thanks for listening and adjusting with us we try to keep you informed and as we continue our learning.

This week we spend our time talking more about the Black Lives Matter movement, why it's important and what we as non-black folk can do to start conversations, work to be allies, and take action. Now is not the time to be silent. Silence = Violence. You may not be able to attend an march or a protest, but you can start exploring your own relationship with racism and racial equity. You can have conversations with people in your personal and professional circles. Do something, do it now, because, Black Lives Matter.

We're bringing it again this week, another unarmed black man killed by the police. We discuss the ongoing story of the killing of George Floyd a black man that was in handcuffs, pinned to the ground and choked until he died by Minneapolis Police Officers. The racism that caused this death is historical within law enforcement and it's too much to bare. We all have to stand up and demand law enforcement reformation. It's not just one bad apple, its a system rooted in racism and oppression that allows for officers to continue to kill unarmed black men. Think about one black man you know personally, think about how much you love and care for him, because he is at 5x risk as his white counterpart to be killed by police. Black people aren't killed for being black, they're killed because we continue to allow racist police officers to be hired and remain on the force. Enough is enough.

We decided to serve you up some leftovers, with the stories we didn't get to during our regular weekly episode. A little bit of COVID19, a little bit of dams breaking, a sprinkle of some what's updates, and pinch of Turtle aka Mitch McConnell, and you have yourself a delicious pot of leftovers.

This episode quickly became a discussion in why we need to continue to talk about the cases of Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery and all the other black people and people of color that are gunned down, abused, profiled and victimized by the criminal justice systems.

This week we move away from COVID 19 and into stories of black people killed and victimized by racial oppression at the hands of police and white men. Okay we know that's typically one in the same. We dig into the Ahmaud Arbery killing, the killing of Breonna Taylor, and the arrest of her boyfriend Kenneth Walker for defending himself in his own home, and the break in on Monica Shepard. This is again a discussion in institutional racism and oppression that we have to keep talking about. We discuss the DOJ dismissal of charges Michael Flynn has ALREADY ADMITTED TO!!!!! Yeah it gets our blood boiling. We sprinkle in a funny chicken story and a feel good story on the the 2020 Gerber Baby. And some Rapid Fire to round it out....Okay and we got into a bit of a COVID 19 discussion.

This week were back with more COVID related stories. Let's just be real, it's gonna be like that for a while. We talk about the importance of having some fundamental research knowledge and if you don't, just listen to Dr. Fauci. A leader of on of the many ignorant protesting groups has tested positive for COVID19, but she's all good cuz she's asymptomatic, so she don't care she could infect others, proving more how self centered and disrespectful these group of ignorant fools are. Getting your nails did a isn't important unless you're a mayor from Texas and also a Basic Betty. Dating across party lines is a no go for most democrats, would you, could canoodle with a Republican, even if they weren't a Trump supporter. And we talk about strategies for working at home, for some the struggle is real.

We had to work through some technical difficulties last week and we know you missed us, hey podcasting in a pandemic be like that, but we're back and chopping it up as usual. Once again our stories focus on COVID19, yeah we know you've had enough, but trust us we come at you with kindness and compassion for what you're going through...except for you fools that decide to violate the stay at home orders. We bringing the heat and throwing shade on you. We decided to skip Rapid Fire on this episode, but will be bringing in back.

Even COVID 19 can't keep us down! We figured out podcasting while physical distancing. We're here with stories about everything COVID, and at least one that has nothing to do with COVID, but everything to do with how West Linn Police Department probably just needs to clean house and reboot. We're hoping everyone out there is staying safe and staying home. We'll get through this together.
