As we move forward in this podcast season, in this particular episode, the conversation shifts from WHAT to do, toward HOW and WHY we live in covenant. I want to address one of the most common questions: “Which commandments are we supposed to keep?” I want to address this by actually challenging the assumption that the answer can be reduced to a simple checklist or summary. Instead, I want to invite you into a deeper, more relational understanding of Torah as the loving instructions of the Father. I want to reframe that question to invite a lifestyle approach to practically walking out Scripture.
A central theme of the episode is that obedience is not about mechanical rule-keeping, but understanding the heart of obedience. We are going to revisit a previous episode that addresses the fact that there is actually no Hebrew word that means “obey” in Scripture. It truly is about heart alignment. True covenant living goes beyond outward actions and calls for inner transformation (“circumcision of the heart”).
Walking in covenant with the Most High after walking through the door of salvation (which is Messiah) is rich in its understanding. It’s a lifestyle. So, I want this episode to serve as an encouragement and a challenge. Salvation may be the doorway, but covenant is the house—and learning to live in it is a lifelong pursuit of knowing the Father and learning to walk in His ways. That has always been the purpose of grace.
