The Resilience Movement

What do you do when life throws a curveball?

Listen Later

Listen to some great advice from Danielle and Jimmy as they talk about life throwing curve-balls and creating the life of freedom they have always desired. After living a life of trading time for money and money for time and then going on to creating a balance for the future, ensuring their family stays strong in times of great adversity.

I loved it when Danielle talked about mindful musings, a practice she has shared with their children to be able to express themselves and understand their emotions when they go through difficult times.

Home schooling and how that puts a strain on families, Danielle put her foot down and took the pressure of her Son, making it OK if you don't get it all done. Being able to take a breath in the school holidays to re group and learn from what has passed.

Jimmy openly talks about being made redundant for the 4th time in his working life and making the decision to join Danielle in their online business, create a laptop lifestyle so they can travel and enjoy the freedom of working from anywhere in the world.

I loved their definition of what it means to be resilient and how you can build a family unit to be stronger in times of challenge and change. Sharing great tips like being vulnerable, talking about it all no matter how uncomfortable and not blaming the other person,

I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed interviewing them both, Thank you Jimmy and Danielle it was a please to have you on the podcast.

The Resilience Movement explores resilience not as motivation or mindset, but as capacity the psychological, emotional, and identity foundations that allow people to perform, adapt, and sustain effectiveness through pressure, change, and adversity.

Hosted by Donna Moulds, the podcast features in-depth conversations with leaders, psychologists, educators, and professionals whose work sits at the intersection of resilience, leadership, identity, and human performance.

Drawing on Donna’s background in leadership, workforce development, and lived experience of navigating major life transitions, the show examines:

  • Psychological readiness and emotional regulation
  • Identity, responsibility, and role transition
  • Leadership behaviour and cultural impact
  • Sustained performance without burnout
  • What it actually takes to adapt and rebuild when life changes

This is a considered, evidence-informed podcast for people who want to think clearly, lead responsibly, and navigate challenge without losing themselves in the process.

The conversations also explore how people can develop the psychological skills required to adapt, recalibrate, and grow through change, rather than being defined or diminished by it.
