It is almost like clockwork: I finish a keynote and one of the first questions I get asked is: but what if the other person is not open to having a difficult conversation, or as we call it, a Last 8% conversation? What can we do in this case?

In other words, what do we do when it feels like we are facing a challenging situation with someone, we want to give them important feedback, for example, but this person has no interest in dealing with the issue and talking about it? It can feel like we have no control over the situation and it can leave us feeling helpless.
