Tune in here to this Tuesday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!
Brett kicks off the program by talking about What you expect from Tonight's debate? Harris leads Trump 49% to 48% among registered voters, showing a race that has tightened since August when Harris held a 3-point lead against Trump, according to an NPR/PBS News/Marist National Poll released Tuesday morning.
Among those who say they plan to vote, the survey found Harris edging Trump by 3 points, 51% to 48%.
The poll found that Trump, however, leads Harris among Independent voters 49% to 46%—a 14-point shift from August, when Harris commanded an 11-point lead in a field that had multiple candidates, such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
We're joined by Shania Thomas to talk about the upcoming political debate and broader issues affecting the nation. Shania And Brett explore key topics such as the economy, immigration, and community outreach by political figures. Shania emphasizes the importance of addressing the concerns of inner-city communities, particularly around resources and support for Black Americans, contrasting this with the perceived lack of engagement by certain politicians in these areas. The conversation also touches on the differing approaches of President Trump and his opponents in reaching voters, with Shania highlighting the significance of connecting with often overlooked communities.
Beth Troutman from "Good Morning BT" joins the Tuesday episode of "Crossing the Streams." In this segment, Beth and Brett dive into their predictions for the upcoming debate happening that night. They discuss what they hope to hear from both candidates, focusing on their plans to turn the country around. Beth also shares what She and Bo Thompson have coming up Wednesday on Good Morning BT!
