My guest for this episode is Kunal Tandon, a guy I know by complete happenstance. There’s really zero reason for us to have come in contact with each other besides a shared interest in what an author had to say about his new book and Kunal’s commitment to putting himself slightly out of his own comfort zone. For this first episode, I reached out to a person I’ve been friends with since we were 12. Few people know me as well as Cy Serrano, so our conversation was natural and fun and also covered new territory, where even after 25 years of friendship, he still surprised and impressed me. We discussed what being intentional actually means, and why it is so important to anything that we do; why his mantra in life includes being present and maintaining what he calls “radical authenticity;” and ultimately, why he loves both trashy reality TV and dancing.

"What do you do?" is a question that is about as automatic as it gets when meeting someone new. It also happens to be dreaded by many, namely those who are undergoing career changes or hoping to seek out an identity outside of their 9-5.
