What are we actually doing when we say Yechi? Is it a holy proclamation of kingship, or has it just become another social slogan? Drawing a parallel to the prayer of Shema, Rabbi Yosef Katzman challenges us to move beyond the shouting and treat the crowning of Moshiach with the same reverence and dignity we afford our most sacred prayers. If saying Yechi is our way of declaring the King, then the way we say it—with respect, timing, and intentionality—matters just as much as the words themselves.
