This week we are joined by our very first guest, Sol Escobar, founder of Give Your Best. Together, we're mad at the misinformation and misrepresentation of refugees and the refugee ‘crisis’ in media, mouldy Christmas decorations, deputising citizens, and Jeremy Strong.

ABOUT SOL
My name is Sol and I’m the founder of Give Your Best. Originally from Uruguay, I immigrated to the UK 16 years ago; I’ve lived in 6 countries and speak 6 languages. I’m a linguist at Cambridge Uni by day and run Give Your Best in every spare minute. I started GYB last year during lockdown after volunteering to support refugees in Calais and locally in Cambridge for a couple of years, and realising that the pandemic had hit the people in this community particularly hard. What started as a project, 14 months later has become an organisation run by 70 volunteers, with 130 more in the wider network, who support 600 women and have received over 8,000 items of donated clothing.
