What goes through your mind

Listen Later

What goes through your mind

What goes through your mind, what image do you find, when

you say I love you baby

Are you straddling my chest, what’s the place you love best,

were ya thinkin’ ‘bout that maybe

Memories play too big a part, tired of things keeping us

apart, so much further from our destinations

Pounding head cannot explain, leads to short fuses and I

complain, our dreams are not evil machinations

The plotting to tear out your past, you bite your tongue it

leaves you aghast, choking on the terrible taste

But the revolutions around the big old sun, time lost well

it can’t be undone, our memories lay in waste

And what goes through your mind, keeps getting harder to

find, when you say I love you baby

Backwards thinking as futures languish, kill love buds ‘n you’ll

anguish, falling before they bloom maybe

Like our great big Christmas cactus, just telling you what the

facts is, it’s still alive but baby when it’s in bloom

A lot like you straddling my chest, it’s the thing we both

love the best, the magic in the air lights up the room

So tell me mama what goes through your mind
