Cats can suffer from the same diseases as us. Including diabetes. I once had a diabetic cat and her name was Althea. I would give her insulin twice a day and she lived a perfectly normal life. I would have to watch her numbers and keep an eye on her behaviors but she was worth every second of it. Special needs cats aren't hard to care for. It just takes a little bit more effort.
