Natalie's Journey
- My dad was my coach. I was born into the sport and it was my life.
- Was the only sport I knew and did. Until senior year high school was on a hip hop team haha but we don't have to talk about that.
- Freshman year, the day before my first college meet I was pulled into the coaches office and said I couldn't compete. Then said I couldn't travel with the team. All year. Because of my SAT scores. That was a devastating time
- Captain of the team my senior year college
- After college I was ready to start new. Do something other than gymnastics. Little did I know I would go downhill fast.
- A few months of partying going crazy after gymnastics I found myself sitting at a crossroad.... literally in my car. Saying "now I know why people kill themselves" basically I thought to myself that I had no reason to be on this earth. I didn't know anything but gymnastics.
- I didn't really focus on my studies because I went to college for gymnastics basically. So I had a hard time getting a job
- Finally got some help. Got myself together. Moved from CT to Boston and new life began.
- Remembered the determination, drive and skills I had that I used in my gymnastics to helps be successful. Then used them towards a line of work
- I found my purpose. Helping other former athletes through their transition into life after sport.
- I am here today!
