On this wonderful episode, we are going to bring a bit of pop culture and media influence into our mental health gambit today. We are going to discuss why I feel so strongly about the Erik and Lyle Menendez case and how I can personally understand some of their points of view. We’re going to dive into the mental health aspect of why they did what they did and go over the facts of the case and then do a comparative analysis on whether or not the outcome would’ve been different if they were females. I think we are at a bit of a turning point in our society, where people are starting to look back on cases from the past and analyze them through different lenses and understand perspectives that they didn’t understand prior. I wanna dive into the psychological aspect what happens to a person when they are abused and then they become free from their abuser and discuss a little bit more about what that looks like moving forward and just general thoughts and feelings about thiscase And what that looks like for everyone. We’re gonna take the case and we’re gonna talk about it from a mental health perspective and also just from a social justice perspective and just shift our narrative a little bit while the podcast gets back on track with different types of content.
